Walsh is currently seeking a TEMPORARY Regional HR Manager for our office located in Little Falls, NJ. This position will be to cover the current Regional HR Manager's maternity leave.

The HR/Payroll position involves executing various HR-related tasks at a proficient level and collaborating closely with Human Resources teams in Pittsburgh, New York/New Jersey, and Chicago. Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely employee records in all required systems. This would include but not limited to new hires, transfers, promotions, rate changes, disciplinary action, and terminations.
  • Assist with answering employee inquiries.
  • Communicates timely and efficiently with all levels of employees.
  • Generate reports of various topics through HRIS system and communicate with regional HR personnel.
  • Assist with the processing of benefit administration.
  • Reviewing of Living Allowance and Auto Benefits are being paid accurately, are coded to the correct job, and periodically auditing employee I9s on file for accurate completion.
  • Responsible for entering in PC Time applicable regional time submitted.
  • Review/Coordinate with field for corrections/balance and submit weekly payroll to Corporate.
  • Process, coordinate, print and ship all weekly trades’ employee payroll checks.
  • Create regional payroll holiday schedules for deadline submissions.
  • Coordinate processing of all employee requests with Corporate Payroll for the following: W-2 forms, Child Support/Garnishment issues and Verification of Employment.
  • Process PC Time access requests.
  • Investigate and enter missed time, make-ups, missing checks, lay-off requests, retro request forms, and stop payment requests submitted by region field personnel.
  • Request detailed payroll related information for new job start-ups from field management.
  • Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by conducting or coordinating an investigation. Maintains records of allegation in the Origami System.
  • Stays current on various laws and regulations and communicates changes with various personnel including, but no limited to Human Resources Director and Corporate Ethics & Compliance Officer
  • Works with the Human Resources Director and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance-training program, including introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
  • Assist with the preparation of external audits. (Gather and organize items as needed by various departments to respond to audits by external agencies. Assist Compliance Team with preparing for audits by OFCCP, DOL, Wage and Hour, etc.) 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 4+ years relevant experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take direction and prioritize responsibilities – must be a multi-tasker. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comply with Privacy and Confidential policies and regulations.
  • Proficient with MS Office Programs.
