    Walsh is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator for our office in Toronto, Ontario.

As a Marketing Communications Coordinator, you will be on the front lines of this endeavor, helping to secure the new business projects.     The Marketing Communications Coordinator supports the marketing and pursuits team in the writing and production of compelling communications that resonate with our targeted audiences, and support our brand identity to enable Walsh Canada to win new work.  Additional responsibilities include:

    • Write, edit, format, and produce content for all of Walsh Canada’s marketing and communications initiatives
    • Review and analyze client solicitations to develop schedule of deliverables for production of proposals and statements of qualifications
    • Direct and assist other staff and project partners to provide the necessary data/information to accurately respond to the requirements of the communications assignment, including establishment and adherence to themes, key messaging and strategy
    • Provide input and direction for the development of design and layout of client proposals, marketing collateral, templates, and other corporate communications (notices, newsletters, etc..) based on prescribed goals
    • Coordinate and create outputs (printing, assembly, exporting) in production of communications material
    • Develop internal newsletters and communications of varying formats
    • Develop internal communications for charity, fundraising and community events
    • Translate company information, data, and statistics into illustrative graphic representations and into marketable information
    • Build and maintain an organized database of communications materials and copy text
    • Create persuasive presentations using such programs as PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.…
    • Review and analyze all current communications processes and material for continuous improvement and innovation opportunities
    • Update and maintain customer relationship management (CRM) database
    • Assist in gathering, tracking and reporting on market intelligence
    • General office and administrative tasks, as required
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field at an accredited post-secondary institution is desirable, but relevant work experience may also be considered
    • Must have strong written communication skills, including the ability to write new content, re-purpose existing content, edit, and proofread to ensure quality
    • Must have exceptional attention to detail
    • Interpersonal skills: must be able to work as part of a team with regular interaction with other individuals
    • Must possess initiative to work independently
    • Ability to take direction from supervisors, but also actively take leadership on specific project tasks
    • Must have strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
    • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Dynamics is not required, but considered an asset
    • Project management skills, including the ability to break down assignments into measurable components, prioritize tasks, and manage workload within timelines
    • Passion for creativity and sense of style
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capability to communicate with all levels within the organization
    • Knowledge of Safety and Environmental compliance requirements at major construction projects.
