    Walsh Construction (a member of The Walsh Group) is currently seeking a Lead Project Scheduler for the Southern California Heavy Civil Business Group.


    This position will work in our Regional Office located in Riverside County, CA.


    The Lead Scheduler will lead and develop project schedules for on heavy civil/transportation projects. The Lead Scheduler will work with management, operations and estimating staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications as it relates to development of the schedule.  The will demonstrate a mastery of project scheduling principles. They shall have knowledge of construction means and methods, costs and engineering principles. Individual must be self-motivated and possess strong communication/interpersonal skills and be confident in his/her ability to develop and manage their work.

    • produce contractually compliant schedules
    • develops and maintains integrated Program Master Schedule and Performance Measurement Baseline in conjunction with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors
    • analyzes drawings, specifications and statements of work in the preparation of activity networks for project resource planning and scheduling
    • maintain project schedule and performs critical path analysis including management interfaces and milestones
    • prepares plans and schedules, status reports and performance evaluations
    • develops and maintains manpower estimates, equipment and material delivery requirements (compilation, analysis and summary)
    • monitors material status reports against construction schedules and reviews them with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers
    • maintains liaison with the project and the field for schedule revision and update
    • provides summary level dashboards and/or other special reports to the project team to support informed decision making and effective management of the project
    • accurate forecasting and management of budgets
    • prepares time impact analysis
    • supports claims / mitigation


    • Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred 
    • 5+ years of project scheduling experience 
    • proficient user of Oracle Primavera P6.8.4 (and latest versions)
    • heavy/ civil construction experience
    • be an expert in the concepts of baseline schedules, progress schedules, recovery schedules, total float, critical path, predecessors, successors, near critical paths, float trending, percent complete, float ownership, and constraints
    • claim experience and time impact analysis experience required
    • ability to make confident, timely, and fact based decisions on a broad range of resources
    • candidates must demonstrate multi-tasking experience working in large teams and solving complex problems
