The Walsh Infrastructure Management Team is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer / Bridge Inspector certified in the National Bridge Inspector Standard for the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project located in Pennsylvania. The candidate should be located, or willing to relocate to the general area near Harrisburg.

Plan, organize, coordinate and control the execution of maintenance work in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems and requirements approved by the Company.
When required, perform hands-on execution of maintenance work to support other maintenance staff.
Supervise work of superintendents, foremen, maintenance technicians, and subcontractors to ensure that work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable and safe manner, and in compliance with contract requirements, applicable standards and laws.
Review cost-coding of timesheets and invoices. Gather, compile, and review production reports and photo logs from Field Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Maintenance Technicians.
Ensure that all costs associated to maintenance work executed within assigned project limits are properly documented and recorded in WIM’s maintenance management system (MMS).
Responsible for interpreting engineering drawings associated to maintenance work.
Available 24/7 to respond to incident and emergencies within project limits and contract required timeframes.
Ability to coordinate emergency response activities, including interactions with other responding agencies such as law enforcement, fire departments, state and local governments.
Records equipment and material deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality, and to ensure project remains on schedule and meets quality standards.
Promote positive safety culture among project staff and subcontractors.
Ensure that all work is performed in abidance of safety requirements. Support investigation of safety incidents.
Maintains vehicle database in online management tool. Assists with obtaining vehicle registrations and vehicle repair. Tracks and monitors vehicle assignments to ensure vehicle availability and mitigate risk.
Perform NBIS inspections and prepare reports in accordance with applicable Federal and state DOT requirements and standards.
Perform other general condition assessments and inspections as applicable to all other assets maintained.
