Walsh is currently seeking an Ethics and Compliance Assistant for our regional office in Allendale, PA.

The Ethics & Compliance Assistant for a construction office provides customer service and support to the project team, as well as other vendors and subcontractors.

  • Conducts and manages timely investigations of charges of alleged discrimination based on race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, and physical/mental disability, or other state specific protected classification. As well as alleged charges of harassment and noncompliance with Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 “ADEA”, Americans with Disability Act of 1990 “ADA”, Family and Medical Leave Act “FMLA”, Fair Labor Standards Act “FLSA”, Pregnancy Disability Act “PDA”, or other federal regulations.  Make recommendations based on results of investigations.


  • Perform training with support staff and trades on the job-site. Training should include harassment and discrimination training. Training materials will be supplied by Corporate.


  • Ensure that postings at job-site are current and accurate including Hotline Posters, EEO Job-Site Contact, Regional Ethics & Compliance Officer, and Corporate Ethics & Compliance Officer contact information.

  • Maintain the OFCCP Compliance Binder at the job-site.


  • Assist with internal and external on-site audits to assure compliance with federal, state, and local legislation.  


  • Support management to attain and maintain a diverse workforce within region.


  • Communicate with Regional Ethics & Compliance Officer regarding investigations, training, and audits.


  • Participate with the preparation and execution of various audits regarding job-site records.


  • Review and ensure compliance of certified payroll reports, both ours and those of subcontractors. These reports should be review on a regular basis.


  • Be familiar with union contracts for the job-site and various terms of the union contracts regarding wages and hours paid.


  • Know the DBE requirements of the job-site and document compliance or good faith effort of these requirements.


  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with employees at all levels.
  • 2 to 5 years of prior experience performing the above listed job functions.


  • Prior working experience or familiarity with the construction or public transportation industry preferred.
