Walsh is currently seeking a Contract Manager for our Legal Team located in the Greater Los Angeles, CA market. We anticipate that this person will sit in our Inglewood, CA Job Office.

  • Prepare and negotiate contracts and other legal documentation
  • Provide risk analyses and guidance on contract matters
  • Give advice on procurement matters
  • Participate in the negotiation process between Walsh, its clients and partners
  • Interpret laws, regulations and any other legal documents, ensuring that the interests of Walsh are well protected
  • Provide legal advice and contribute to analyses relating to corporate governance issues
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, especially Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations
  • Work closely with internal clients, including business development, corporate support services and operational personnel as well as senior management in both the business unit and at the corporate level in order to minimize corporate risk
  • Assist with claims and litigation, including contracts disputes and tort claims
  • Work with Legal and Human Resources Departments with respect to employment matters
  • Contribute to or influence company policies as appropriate


  • Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate Degree required
  • Lawyer in good standing with state bar
  • 2-4 years of related legal experience
  • Transactional and claim related legal experience in the construction industry (helpful, not required)
  • Ability to negotiate legal and commercial issues arising with respect to project delivery
  • Experience with construction contracts and disputes will be considered an asset
  • Problem solving skills together with the confidence to take the initiative on projects
  • Strong communication skills and attention-to-detail
  • Work ethic to see work to completion without constant supervision
