Walsh is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for the LaGuardia project in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Comfortable in a leadership role and as a direct point of contact for private clients and/or public agencies
  • Has a basic knowledge of the construction process and is able to asses work in place
  • Has experience in owner billing for both Guaranteed Maximum Price and Lump Sum contracts
  • Must be a strong multitasker and able to work in high pressure environment while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrates high level understanding of all Project Accounting functions and GAAP
  • Reviews and budgets overhead cost reports for the business group(s)
  • Individual has a strong understanding of the Walsh monthly P&L process and ensures timely submittal of project P&Ls and reviews the P&Ls for accuracy
  • This position requires an in depth monthly analysis of the owner billings and ability to produce owner billings independently, when applicable, for the business group(s). Posts owner billings and ensures accurate revenue projections on all business group cost reports
  • Individual has a strong understanding of the company Report Card and WIP for their business group(s)
  • Monitors cash flow and communicates with the project staffs on tracking A/R and when the projects are paid

  • Works closely with Program Managers and Business Group Leaders on budgeting and managing the financial risks and potentials for all of the business group’s projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field
  • Must have management experience and at least 5 years-experience in the construction accounting field
