    Walsh is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Environmental Manager for our Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor Project for our California Heavy Civil South team.

    In this role, responsibilities include:

    • Project planning, scheduling and coordination
    • Project estimating, forecasting and management of budgets
    • Ability to prioritize, develop and maintain project schedules
    • Document control management (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.)
    • Safety management
    • Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
    • Coordination and management of subcontractors’ work
    • Contract and change order management
    • Track weekly construction progress
    • Resolution of problems involving labor disputes, material delivery and contract administration
    • Environmental duties include the management of self-perform and Subcontracted work associated with: Stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) compliance, air quality, noise control, biological surveys, hazardous abatement/removal, soil management, construction dewatering, green construction policy and sustainability reporting


    We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

    • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Environmental Studies preferred
    • Minimum 4 years professional experience in construction or construction management
    • QSP/QSD certification preferred
    • Experience with construction software is preferred
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication
    • Ability to prioritize and manage own time
    • Strong follow up
    • Ability to establish relationships and lead people
    • Self-motivated
    • Critical thinking and decision making skills
