Walsh is currently seeking a General Superintendent for our Federal Building Divison in Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing construction means/methods for all aspects of residential high-rise projects, schedules, productivity innovations, and site logistics in the Chicagoland area.
  • Selection of field site personnel
  • Monitoring job costs and productivity on projects
  • On-site co-ordination of manpower, materials and equipment
  • Developing, monitoring and executing the project construction plan and schedule
  • Supervising, training, coaching and mentoring field personnel
  • Demonstrating commitment to Walsh Safety and Quality programs
  • Organizing and coordinating all subcontractor activities
  • Project close-out; responsible for final inspections, deficiencies, warranty work and site demolition
  • Working with the Owners to ensure the projects are being built in accordance with the contract documents


  • 4 year degree in related field desired
  • 20 years of industry experience; 10 in a Sr. Super or Leadership position
  • Experience with projects over $100M
  • Report directly to Sr. Management
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skill
  • Ability to use tact, discretion, good judgment, initiative, self-expression
  • Ability to think clearly, retain information, analyze problems, and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong leadership and can motivate a team
  • Good judgment & uses experience to make decision
  • Schedule software experience is a plus
