  • Overview

    Walsh is currently seeking an Assistant Quality Control Manager – 2nd Shift for the Crenshaw / LAX Corridor Extender project in Los Angeles, CA.

    The Quality Control Manager is responsible for managing and performing daily QC responsibilities to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with the established specifications and contract language.

    • Enforce project quality program based on contract requirements and company standards.
    • Publish weekly tracking logs for all quality issues
    • Manage and support field QC Inspectors
    • Conduct weekly and monthly quality/safety meetings with inspection staff
    • Generate, track and resolve non-conformance issues discovered in the field
    • Conduct post incident meetings for quality issues
    • Implement stop work orders due to non-compliant quality conditions
    • Generate and implement project construction checklist for various scopes of work
    • Review daily inspection and testing reports for accuracy and content
    • Review preconstruction packages to ensure all requirements and project specifications are met
    • Pro-actively communicate and enforce quality requirements to construction operations personnel
    • Develop Quality driven culture on jobsite


    • 3 - 5 years of Quality Control experience in the construction industry
    • Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree is preferred
    • Ability to enforce quality control, and ensure compliance with quality standards and contract requirements
    • Able to perform surveillance and inspection on multiple crews and subcontractors
    • Flexibility to provide QC services both on and off the jobsite and at various intervals of a project
    • Self-starter with good documentation skills
