    Walsh is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Water Division in San Jose, CA.

    Responsibilities

    Candidate must demonstrate prior experience in Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant construction in which they were charged with direct oversight of the Treatment Process Equipment Scope of work, and were responsible for the following management activities:

    • Purchase Order negotiation and buyout
    • Shop drawings/ technical submittal review and coordination,
    • Procurement and delivery management,
    • Work plan development and installation coordination
    • Estimating and management of costs for change order submissions,
    • Preparation of O&M / Start-up manuals  
    • Leading the equipment startup and commissioning activities.
    • Managing work flow, engaging professionally with Owners, Engineers and other subcontractors and major stake holders
    • Scheduling

    Qualifications

    We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

    • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
    • 4 years of construction management experience
    • Prioritize, develop, and maintain project schedules
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication
    • Ability to prioritize and manage time
    • Strong follow up
    • Ability to establish relationships and lead people
    • Self-motivated
    • Critical thinking and decision making skills
