    Walsh is currently seeking Assistant Project Superintendents at for our various Verizon projects across the Northeast for our National Building Group based out of Detroit, MI.

    The Assistant Project Superintendent holds the responsibility and authority for the daily execution of a specific area or portion of the project to be carried out safely, within budget, on schedule, to the company’s standard of quality and to the client’s satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervises at least one foreman and crew within their specific area or portion of the project assigned.
    • Ensures crew’s Safety planning is completed and followed; such as JHA’s, daily THA’s, and REAP.
    • Ensures crew’s Quality planning is completed and followed; such as assisting with work plan development and TQA’s.
    • Participate in routine schedule and coordination meetings with Project Superintendent and other project staff for material, equipment, subcontractor and personnel needs.
    • Maintain accurate and timely timekeeping for crews under their responsibility.
    • Observe work operations within their areas of responsibility to insure performance is productive, safe, and of highest quality.
    • Ensure accurate daily reports and critical information is documented and completed regularly and timely.
    • Coordinate and communicate engineering and layout needs timely.
    • Maintain an ethical, positive and harassment free work environment.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • High School diploma; Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent
    • Approximately 3 - 5 years of experience 
    • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
    • Primavera or the ability to create bar chart schedules in Excel from information contained in a Primavera schedule
    • CMiC experience desired
    • Strong communication skills, analytical and problem solving abilities
    • Ability to prioritize, develop and maintain schedules
    • Basic surveying skills
    • Leadership experience preferred
    • Ability to travel
