    Walsh is currently seeking a Project Payroll Coordinator for the Heavy Civil Division in Rutherford, New Jersey.

    Responsibilities

    • Auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards
    • Processing high volume union and non-union weekly payroll
    • Daily entry of payroll into Corporate payroll system (PCTimecard)
    • Coordinating and processing all layoff/termination requests
    • Ensure craft workers are paid in accordance with union agreements
    • Check timesheets against payroll system printout of accuracy
    • Assist Compliance Manager with additional tasks as needed
    • Assist with on-boarding of new employees including E-verify and new hire paperwork
    • Coordinate interviews for potential candidates
    • Assist with HR reports and compliance training to project sites

    Qualifications

    The team is looking for someone with the rights skills and attitude. Diverse experiences will be considered, but some possible relevant experience and skills includes: 

    • A college degree in accounting/business administration is desired, but equivalent experience in these fields will be considered
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, communicating with all level in the organization
    • Experience processing high volume union payroll is required
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Knowledge of union contracts and regulations
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment and work overtime as needed
    • Experience with CMiC is preferred
