    Job Location: Various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL)

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Project Managers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Responsible for overall direction, completion, financial outcome, technical success and quality of construction projects, including Design-Build, PPP and heavy civil/infrastructure projects in excess of $400m. Establish and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, design partners and unions. Plan, organize and control project(s) from design to construction phase. Review and approve preliminary project and equipment schedules, financial projections, cost-to-complete and project status reports for duration of project. Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and engineers, and works with superintendents to establish operational priorities. Creates site organizational plan and responsibility matrix. Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, materials, equipment and contract administration. Develops strategy for staffing, personnel development and performance management and training. Coordinates with Safety, Quality Manager to ensure safety goals are met. Identify opportunity for business development. Tools: Primavera, Excel, Visual Basic, CMiC, AutoCAD, HCSS, Suretrak.

     

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Building Construction or Civil Engineering plus six years of experience in the job offered or in construction management required. Required/Specific Skills: 6 years with each: construction scheduling and cost management for heavy civil/infrastructure projects in excess of $400m; 2 years with: Design-Build; PPP; Primavera, Excel, Visual Basic, CMiC, HCSS, Suretrak. Must be willing to travel and may be required to relocate.
