    Walsh is currently seeking a Payroll Garnishment Technician for the office in Chicago, IL.

    Responsibilities

    • Setting up and entering employee garnishments according to the order and state requirements
    • Remit garnishments via EFT (Electronic Bank Transfer) and mail live checks to recipients
    • Scan garnishments into employee file in the Walsh System (App Extender)
    • Accurately and timely entering and maintaining involuntary deductions
    • Fund all payroll company bank accounts on a weekly basis
    • Complete all unemployment inquiries
    • Complete all verifications of employment
    • Timely and efficiently communicating with various garnishment agencies and facilities to facilitate strong customer service relationships
    • Sort and distribute incoming payroll mail

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Minimum experience of 3-5 years in Payroll Processing, with a preference for previous
    • Garnishments experience
    • Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and timely with peers, leadership and customers through written and oral means
    • Must have professional phone etiquette
    • Must be able to proactively prioritize assigned responsibilities and work efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
    • Must be successful in establishing and streamlining processes and procedures, as well as working rapidly and accurately in processing/reviewing high volumes of documentation
    • Must be able to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships by building trust and respect, and by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel required
    • Previous experience using CMiC software is a plus
