    Walsh is currently seeking a Track Superintendent for the Red / Purple Modernization CTA project in Chicago, IL.

    • Participate in meetings with client, subcontracted engineering firms, and suppliers
    • Analyze and review project technical documents as delivered by engineering firms to ensure that proposed technical solutions are competitive
    • Perform in-depth review of drawings, designs and contract documentation
    • Working with the project team to develop process plans for all track operations, including equipment selection and procurement
    • Plan and supervise all construction efforts in the field to ensure work is performed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
    • Review and monitor quality standards of all work, including sub-contractor performances
    • Review weekly reports showing progresses made vs resources used and take any proper actions to ensure we meet our targets
    • Monitor job schedules and coordinate sub-contractors' work and suppliers' deliveries and equipment needs, taking appropriate action as necessary
    • Ensure all field personnel comply with, project procedures, safety program and work rules, taking corrective action as necessary


    • Highschool diploma
    • Civil engineering or construction management preferred
    • 10 years of construction management experience
    • 3 years of experience with transit system trackwork construction & supervising track crews 
    • Experience with a Union environment is preferred
    • Self-motivated

    • Demonstrated knowledge of basic project controls, material management, and subcontractor management
