Walsh is currently seeking a Union Payroll Technician for the office in Chicago, IL.

  • Manage/process monthly union fringe payments:
    • Address any under or overage of benefit accruals
    • Meeting monthly remit deadlines
  • Maintain union wages & fringe benefits in CMiC
  • Ensure wages and benefits are updated and set up correctly
  • Union audits:
    • Scheduled audit dates with auditors selected by unions and provide any paperwork/documents requested
  • Address any issues or questions during the audit from the auditor
  • Respond to the audits of union benefit monthly contributions
  • Consult with Walsh regional offices. Ensure wage and benefit spreadsheets are maintained and updated. Address any issues or questions from the region regarding employee union code. Pay rates and trade code set up
  • Consult with the legal department on contracts, union grievances and other issues
  • Review and maintain union contracts and regulations
  • Review and reconcile the general ledger


  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to review and understand union contracts required
  • Detail oriented and organized
