Walsh is currently seeking a Quality Control MEP Specialist for our Ellsworth Airforce Base project in Rapid City, SD.

  • Document control and submittal reviews
  • Perform surveillance and QC inspection on multiple crews and subcontractors
  • Capturing the documentation of tests, inspections and procedures per ITPs codes, and construction industry standards
  • Perform Quality Control coordination and management for Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Plumbing trades
  • Quality Control inspections and tests for governmental owners
  • Complete and execute Daily Report documentation of work inspected and tests performed
  • Direct oversight of Quality Technicians and/or Independent Testing Firm personnel
  • Physical inspection of the site work
  • Coordination of HVAC construction and commissioning
  • Review of all contract documentation and interprets blueprints and specifications to ensure compliance with specifications and other regulations governing construction
  • Contributes expertise to the work planning process, while aiding other in-house personnel (Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, etc.) and external personnel to produce and document a quality product
  • Coordinates testing laboratory technicians and interprets test results


  • Entry level to 5 years of experience in QA/QC.
  • Industry certifications as required to conduct testing and inspection.
  • High school diploma required. Technical college or industry experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills, ability to learn on the job and problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge of standards, specifications and publications of job related duties.
  • Some travel required.
  • Ability to transport under 50 pounds.
