Archer Western a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking a Design Build Pursuit Manager for our Carolina's Transportation Group.

  • Scheduling and Organizing the entire pursuit (RFQ, RFP, Interview, Client Meetings, Task Teams, Outreach, Workshops)
  • Understanding Owner Contractual RFP requirements and obligations and managing pursuit response to meet or exceed
  • Defining Estimate Design Deliverables and Tracking Progress
  • Managing Questions and Responses process (RFIs, RFCs, etc)
  • Develop and maintain pursuit budgeting and cost control and tracking
  • Supports proposal development as it relates to design and/or provides design management during Design-Build / alternate project delivery pursuits
  • Manage the coordination, compilation and assessment of Project Specific Risks and Opportunities
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, state-of-industry projects, design elements and related items
  • Managing Agreements and commitments of pursuit; Service Agreements, NDA, Teaming, JV
  • Coordinating and Communicating pursuit schedules and strategy with Company Leadership
  • Maintaining Client Relationships and Business Development


  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Enginering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management
  • 10 years plus experience in Heavy Civil Construction or Engineering 
  • 5 years experience in the pursuit and or delivery of design-build projects
  • Experience working in a dynamic stakeholder environment
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel - 0%-20% norm, but up to 60% periodically for pursuits
