Overview

Archer Western a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking a Regional Scheduler for the Florida Transportation Group, the regional office is located in Tampa, FL. 

 

As a Regional Scheduler you will be responsible for the organization, implementation, verification and maintenance of the scheduling management system supporting regional pursuits and active projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive scheduling management system including, standardization of; work breakdown structure and activity code libraries, time impact analysis and critical path analysis methodologies, schedule updating workshops, training, etc.

  • Interact with project team and task managers to define scope of work to develop and update detailed pursuit schedules, cost, and resource information.
  • Evaluate project schedule data/performance to include records of activities, audit trails, verification of actual start/finish dates, cost/budgets, work breakdown structures, risk and associated data as applicable to the schedules to identify variances from the original or approved plan.
  • Makes recommendations as to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems or alternative methods to efficiently achieve schedule certainty, including, but not limited to: 

    • Analyzes project schedule requirements with the project team and ensures that required resources are available so that established schedules may be reasonably maintained 

    • Analyzes work productivity against established schedules/productions and reports to management. Modifies schedules as necessary to efficiently plan and report activities as required

    • Analyzes any change in construction planning, sequence and/or logic to ensure the project may be reasonably maintained.

  • Prepares project management reports to reflect schedule status and/or corrective actions as required.  
  • Conduct analysis/workshops to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on eroded schedules. 

Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred 
  • 8 - 10  years of project scheduling experience 
  • Primavera experience required (P6 preferred) Acumen Fuse, Synchro, Project and Cost Management Systems.
  • Understand concepts of baseline schedule, progress schedule, recovered schedule, total float, critical path, predecessors, successors, near critical paths, float trending, percent complete, float ownership, and constraints
  • Claim experience required
  • Time impact analysis experience required
  • Significant multi-tasking abilities and solution-based thinking is essential
  • Ability to make confident, timely, and fact based decisions on a broad range of resources
  • Some travel required
